Whole Health Counseling is a team of therapists that care about you. Founded by Traci Freeman, it's her vision of a counseling center that focuses on the whole person - mind, body, career and relationships. All parts of you are welcome.
Whether you have been in therapy before or this is your first time, you are welcome to be your authentic self. Our approach is warm and compassionate, humanistic, body-oriented, somatic, emotionally focused and relational.
We offer telehealth and in person therapy, as long as you are a California resident.

Maya Shemtov (she/her)

Approach to therapy:
Maya believes that our ability to navigate relationships is a core aspect of a full and happy life, and that we have the ability to transform our relational patterns and heal. With individuals, she utilizes a psychodynamic approach along with tools from
cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy and more to help clients gain insight into their patterns, break through stuckness, and thrive. With couples, she integrates EFT with relationship skill-building and communication strategies to help clients in relationships heal challenging patterns, rediscover intimacy, and work preventatively to set up a strong base from which to grow as a couple.
